(NAPTA guarantees anonymity for any members who cannot afford to speak out, but who need support. Just contact us and we will assign you a number so we can use your voice without putting you in the line of fire. At the same time, we are here to support you and reassure you that although courage is the voice of the heart, each of us can only do what we can. Some teachers have better resources. Some teachers have better family support. Some have better health. Those of us speaking out are not better than you. We are just luckier that we can live in our integrity. Someday you can join us. Until then, be our silent but deadly voice.)
I've read everything Cheryl Mix, Pamela Settlegoode, and you have said and I am frightened more. I know what is right and that is why I lost my job. I know everything the three of you are doing is right. I know if people like you don't do something it will only get worse. But, I don't know if I can afford to fight this publicly if it affects my ability to get another job. You three are braver than I am. I always thought I was a fighter and truly believe the administrators in our schools are the problem.
Something needs to be done but I don't have the financial resources. I have to look out for my family. My family income has now been cut in half. How do I continue to pay the bills without a job?????????????? Well, I will continue to try to sort this all out. Please continue to inform me of your progress. Thanks for listening to me. Scared and confused,
